About the role
Join the critical care team at Monument Health Rapid City Hospital! We are urgently seeking a highly skilled ICU RN for a fast-paced, 39-bed mixed Critical Care unit (MICU, SICU, CICU, TICU). This is a high-acuity, heavy trauma population requiring strong critical thinking and rapid assessment skills.
Contract Details:
Start Date: 07/27/2026 • Shift: 12-hour Nights • Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours/week (mandatory requirement) • Rotation: Every other weekend preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide high-acuity critical care in a 39-bed mixed ICU (MICU, SICU, CICU, TICU)
- Manage ventilators, hemodynamic lines, proning, and complex IV medications
- Operate advanced devices such as Impella, IABP, and CRRT (experience preferred)
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of non-travel ICU experience
- At least 1 prior travel assignment (no first-time travelers)
- Active certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC (TNCC must be in-hand prior to arrival)
- Epic EMR experience is strictly required
- Candidates must reside at least 100 miles away from the facility
Schedule
- 12-hour shifts (days or nights)
- 36 hours per week (guaranteed 48 hours/week)
- Every other weekend rotation preferred
- Maximum of 7 days RTO allowed (contract will be extended to complete a full 13 weeks)
- No RTO permitted during holidays or the Sturgis Bike Rally (first 3 weeks of August)
