Travel Nurse RN - ICU - Intensive Care Unit - $2,285 per week

Job Summary

ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Nurse position in a medical‑surgical ICU setting located within a tertiary hospital system. The role involves providing specialized care for adult and pediatric patients with critical illnesses, including neuro, respiratory, sepsis, and cardiogenic shock cases. This fast‑paced environment requires critical thinking, teamwork, and strong communication skills to deliver high‑quality care.

Schedule

Night shifts, 12‑hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week. Assignment runs from 10/26/2026 to 01/25/2027 (13 weeks).

Requirements

• Valid RN nursing license
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
• NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification
• Minimum of 2 years recent ICU experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ventilators (Vents, CPAP, BiPAP, High Flow)
• Telemetry interpretation
• Ability to titrate drips such as vasopressors, paralytics, narcotics, sedation, and antiarrhythmics

Additional Information

• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• Adherence to the fingernail policy (artificial nails prohibited)
• Pass an open‑book skills exam with a 90 % score during orientation
• Covers adult and pediatric patients (15 years and older) with a multidisciplinary team including attending providers and resident/fellow trainees
• Nurse‑to‑patient ratio: 1:1‑2 in ICU, 1:4‑6 in medical‑surgical units
• Expected to troubleshoot equipment, interpret telemetry strips, and participate in emergency responses
• Float to all inpatient units except Maternity/NICU
• Dress code: navy blue scrubs
• RTO (Return to Office) time‑off requests must be submitted upfront; additional RTO will not be approved
