Travel Nurse RN - ICU - Intensive Care Unit - $2,272 per week

About the role

Malone Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a 13-week assignment starting August 31, 2026, working 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts, nights.

Responsibilities

• Run codes in the facility.
• Cover for other ICU nurses during codes.
• Assist with tele backup during codes.
• Manage patient ratios of 1:2-3, with some lower acuity patients.
• Titrate drips including Levo, Neo, Propofol, Fentanyl, Precedex, Insulin, TNK, etc.
• Work with hospitalists and intensivists 24/7.
• Use Meditech and GE Carescape technology.
• Handle scrub color requirements.
• Participate in department-specific orientation.

Requirements

• 2+ years of ICU experience within the past 2 years.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• IL nursing license.
• Experience with charge nurse/house supervisor responsibilities.
• Knowledge of common ICU diagnoses like sepsis, stroke, and DKA.
• Ability to titrate drips and manage medication mixing.
• Experience with scrub color requirements.
• Previous travel experience preferred.
• Meditech experience a plus.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN).
• Current IL license.
• 2+ years of ICU experience.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Experience with titrating drips and managing medication mixing.
• Previous travel experience preferred.
• Meditech experience a plus.
