About the role
The organization is seeking a registered nurse (RN) for an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) position located in Roaring Spring, Pennsylvania. The role involves providing critical care to adult and geriatric patients in a Level IV trauma facility. This position requires flexibility to float to medical-surgical units when necessary and is scheduled for night shifts.
Schedule
- 12-hour night shifts
- Minimum of 36 hours per week
Responsibilities
- Provide critical care to adult and geriatric patients
- Float to medical-surgical units as needed
- Handle a patient ratio of 1:6 depending on patient status
Requirements
- Valid Pennsylvania RN license
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Minimum of 2 years ICU experience
- Willingness to float to medical-surgical units
- Complete and clear screenings prior to start date, including:
- Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance
- FBI Department of Aging Fingerprinting
- Pennsylvania State Police Clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with adult and geriatric patient populations
- Familiarity with common diagnoses such as DKA, STEMI, CVA, and respiratory failure
