Travel Cardiac ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Requirements

• Active Wisconsin RN License
• BLS and ACLS (AHA or ARC)
• CCRN preferred but not required
• Minimum 2 years of Cardiac ICU experience
• Required experience with:
• Swan-Ganz catheters
• Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps (IABP)
• Post-operative open heart patients
• Epic experience preferred

Unit Highlights

• 12-bed Cardiac ICU
• Patient population includes:
• Post-op open heart surgery
• AMI (Acute Myocardial Infarction)
• Cardiogenic shock
• Induced hypothermia
• Critical cardiac care
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: 2:1 standard ICU, 1:1 for Impella patients
• CRRT experience preferred
• Frequent bedside cardioversions, line placement, and line removal

Assignment Details

• 13-week contract
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 12-hour night shifts
• Float to inpatient units as needed, primarily within critical care and acute care
• Every 2–3 weekends (Friday–Sunday)
• Every other holiday
