Travel Nurse RN - ICU - Intensive Care Unit - $2,235 per week

About the role

ICU - Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse position in Grand Junction, Colorado. Start date: October 5, 2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Schedule: 36 hours per week, 12‑hour day shifts. Employment type: Travel.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with state Board of Nursing standards.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care.
• Provide health teaching and counseling.
• Deliver supportive and restorative therapy and treatment directly to patients or indirectly through collaboration and supervision.
• Float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications as needed.
• Be on‑call during scheduled shifts.
• Conduct health data assessment, health teaching, health counseling, therapy and treatment planning, and nursing care.
• Execute medical functions, facilitate patient referral, monitor treatment plans, maintain clinical documentation, and utilize resources effectively.

Requirements

• Current RN license in the state of practice or via a valid Compact RN license.
• BLS (American Heart Association) certification.
• ACLS (American Heart Association) certification.
• Minimum of 1+ years of nursing experience.
• Education: ASN from an accredited school of nursing; Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
• Must possess a valid license in the state of practice.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Registered Nurse in an Intensive Care Unit.
• Certification as appropriate for the unit or service.

Schedule

Day shift: 12‑hour shifts from 07:00 to 19:30, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
