Travel Nurse RN - ICU - Intensive Care Unit - $2,090 per week

About the role

TotalMed RN has an immediate travel nurse opening for an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) RN in Saint Albans, Vermont. The assignment is for 13 weeks, 36 hours per week on 12‑hour day shifts. TotalMed RN is a Top Ten travel nursing and healthcare staffing agency that places clinicians nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and monitor patients in an Intensive Care Unit setting.
• Provide direct care to patients in life‑threatening situations, documenting and delivering physician‑directed care.
• Assess and implement patient care plans, delegating to other care providers as appropriate.
• Provide education and support to patient families, including long‑term care needs.
• Provide basic bedside care.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication; report adverse reactions.
• Order and evaluate diagnostic tests.
• Take samples for lab work, order corresponding lab work and interpret reports.
• Monitor and adjust specialized equipment; interpret and record electronic displays.
• Ensure proper placement and functioning of catheters, leads and tubing.
• Communicate patients' conditions to family members.

Requirements

• Current ACLS certification
• Current BLS certification
• Current NIH certification
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
