About the role

AMN Healthcare Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN for an ICU - Intensive Care Unit assignment in Yakima, Washington.

Responsibilities

• Manage patients with chest tubes, wound vacs, and dressing changes
• Monitor femoral arterial sheaths
• Care for patients with conditions including CHF, respiratory distress, ACS, A-fib RVR, DM, and CVA overflow
• Administer blood products and manage BiPAP
• Care for post-cath patients, including those with TR bands and femoral approaches (note: travelers will not pull femoral sheaths)
• Manage surgical patients (vascular, abdominal, GI, etc.)
• Administer and monitor drips: diltiazem, amiodarone, Lasix, nitro, heparin

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) license (Compact accepted)
• 2 years of ICU experience
• 1 prior travel assignment in ICU as an RN
• ACLS and BLS certifications (copies required)
• Skills checklist and reference dated within the last 12 months
• Preferred experience: Art line, Impella, and/or IABP
• SSN and date of birth required for compliance
