This role involves providing critical care in a 29-bed general ICU within a level 2 trauma center, focusing on advanced ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, and procedural interventions. The assignment offers an opportunity to work in a busy, innovative environment with experienced staff. Job Details: Schedule: 3 twelve-hour shifts per week, working days, with every other weekend off. Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, ACLS certification, BLS certification, at least 1 year of ICU experience. Preferred Qualifications: TNCC, NIH, ABLS certifications are welcome but not mandatory. Additional Information: Unit specifics include no CNAs, one tele, with equipment such as GE monitors, Edwards EV 1000, CCO, primaflex CRRT, and cardiohelp ECMO. Responsibilities include intubations, central line placement, bronchoscopies, bedside tracheostomy, and PEG tube placement. On-call expectations are limited to census drops, otherwise not required. Float policy involves floating first to emergency department and step-down units. The unit is part of a level 2 trauma center with a heart program performing approximately 200 cases annually, including CRRT, Impella, IABP, ECMO, and a burn center opened in April 2019. Uniform required: navy blue scrubs.
