About the role
ICU Nurse, located in the metropolitan area, is responsible for providing specialized care to critically ill patients within a dynamic hospital environment. The role involves managing a combined acuity unit that includes ICU, PCU, and MST patients, utilizing advanced skills to monitor and treat a wide spectrum of acute conditions.
Responsibilities
- Manage patient care across multiple acuities
- Perform 12-lead EKGs and read cardiac strips
- Operate critical respiratory therapy equipment including vents, Cpap, and BiPap
- Float to other units including Pediatric and West Campus ICU/PCU to maintain competency
- Pass and maintain proficiency in a dysrhythmia exam
Requirements
- ACLS and BLS certifications
- Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience
- RN license required
- Experience in PCU/Med Surg is beneficial
Schedule
- 12-hour night shifts
- Minimum of 36 hours per week
