Travel Nurse RN - ICU - Intensive Care Unit - $2,035 per week
Job Summary
This travel role supports care in a Surgical ICU setting, including management of high-acuity post-procedural and post-surgical patients. Candidates must bring their license on the first day and will provide clinical support aligned with unit guidelines and typical ICU procedures, including chest tubes, central lines, and medication drips.
Job Details
Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts; minimum 36.0 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
Active nursing license;
Basic Life Support (BLS);
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS);
National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS);
Minimum 1-year current acute care hospital ICU experience;
Candidates must have acute care ICU experience (candidates without these skills will not be considered).
Preferred Qualifications
Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC);
Prior experience traveling to large trauma facilities.
Additional Information
This role involves an ICU/Surgical ICU unit with typical patient ratios of 1:2, with 1:1 for high acuity (including post CABG patients).
Unit equipment may include balloon pumps, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), hypothermia equipment, and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO).
The electronic medical record system is Meditech.
Unit staff includes day shift and night shift Registered Nurses, a charge nurse, and patient care technicians; an estimated staffing model is used for ratio planning.
