Travel Nurse RN - ICU - Intensive Care Unit - $1,991 per week

Job Description

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a 13-week assignment in Franklin, Indiana.

Requirements

• One year of recent experience as an ICU RN
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) and ACLS (AHA/ARC) certifications

Qualifications

• Preferred CCRN certification
• TNCC, NIHSS certification

Essential Work Functions

• Assess and monitor critically ill patients
• Administer complex medications and treatments
• Operate and manage advanced life support equipment
• Maintain patient safety and comfort
• Document patient conditions and interventions
• Communicate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives

Required Essential Skills

• Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills
• The ability to read/write in the English language
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills
• Physical abilities: remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend
• Interpersonal skills: work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary)
• Technical/motor skills: grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
• Mental requirements: cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure, work under close supervision occasionally, and work without assistance from other personnel
• Sensory: possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate
