Travel Nurse RN - ICU - Intensive Care Unit - $1,855 per week

Job Summary

Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position located in a 16‑bed ICU at a healthcare facility in Sugar Land, Texas. The role involves managing critically ill patients with diagnoses such as congestive heart failure, diabetic ketoacidosis, respiratory failure, metabolic acidosis, renal failure, and encephalopathy. Responsibilities include ventilator management, drip titrations, and rapid response to acute patient needs.

Schedule

Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. The assignment runs for 13 weeks starting 10/05/2026.

Required Qualifications

• Valid ACLS and BLS certifications (American Heart Association)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience, including ventilator management, drip management, and DKA management
• Experience with cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation medications
• Valid RN license for Texas

Preferred Qualifications

• Training in CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy)
• Training in IABP (Intra‑Aortic Balloon Pumping)

Additional Information

• ICU staffed with hospitalists, intensivists, nurse practitioners, and attending physicians available 24/7
• Float rotation may be required
• Self‑scheduling with six weekend shifts every six weeks
• Requirement to work one major and one minor holiday during spring and fall
• Dress code: royal blue scrubs
• Orientation consists of two shifts
• Charting system: EPIC

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
