About the role
Cardiac OR RNFA, 36 or 48 hours per week, primarily weekdays 7a–7p and 11a–11p with on-call responsibilities as needed by the unit.
Responsibilities
- Assist with chest exposure and closing
- Independently perform vein harvesting for CABGs
- First-assist in DaVinci robotic cases (preferred but not required)
- Scrub and circulate complex cardiac cases, including:
- CABGs
- Structural heart cases (e.g., Bentall)
- Minimally invasive procedures (e.g., Mini Aortic Valve Replacement)
- Heart failure cases (e.g., Impella)
- Experience with heart transplants (preferred)
Requirements
- 2 years of cardiac RNFA experience
- Active NYS RN license
- AHA BLS and ACLS
- CNOR certification
- Telemetry certification
Schedule
- 12-hour shifts: days, evenings, nights
- 36 hours per week
Certifications
- BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)
- ACLS preferred (American Heart Association ONLY)
- CNOR Certification
