Travel Nurse RN - Endoscopy - $2,446 per week

About the Role

Travel nursing position for an Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN) in Wichita, Kansas. This is a 13-week assignment with 40 hours per week, 10-hour day shifts.

Unit Information

• Location: Endoscopy Laboratory at Wesley Medical Center (550 N Hillside St, Wichita, KS 67214)
• Number of Beds: 9
• Staffing: 11 full-time/part-time RNs, 2 PRN; Day shift only with 6-7 RNs and 2 techs per day
• Patient Ratios: Intra-op team of 2:1 patient; Pre/post-op 1 RN:2 patients
• Equipment: Olympus endoscopes and reprocessing
• EMR: Meditech

Must have: Minimum 1-year current acute care Endo RN experience, BLS

Preferred: PACU experience, experience with Olympus scopes and reprocessing, Endo experience with circulating and tech procedures, ACLS

Typical procedures: EGD/Colonoscopy, ERCP, EUS, EBUS (variations of each procedure), infection control, manual cleaning, and high-level disinfection of endoscopes

Best personality fit: Ability to work independently with little supervision and as part of a team intraoperatively

Call details: 2 shifts a month (6A to 5:30P for opening shifts), 3-4 weeknight shifts a month (Monday-Thursday 5:30P to 7A, 13.5 hours), 1 Friday a month (5:30P to 11P), and 1-2 weekend shifts a month (Saturday 11P to 7A Sunday and Monday morning)
