Electrophysiology (EP) Lab RN position available in Rochester, New York. This role involves supporting cardiac ablations, device insertions, and electrophysiology procedures within a specialized EP laboratory setting. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring patient safety, assisting with complex procedures, and maintaining operational workflows in the lab.
Responsibilities
- Support cardiac ablations, device insertions, and electrophysiology procedures
- Ensure patient safety and assist with complex procedures
- Maintain operational workflows in the EP laboratory
- Operate specialized monitoring systems for ablation procedures
- Perform phlebotomy and IV placement
- Adhere to facility-specific policies and procedures
- Float as needed, with flexibility to rotate between assignments
Requirements
- Valid New York state RN license
- At least 2 years of experience in an EP Lab or related setting
- Certification in ACLS and BLS
- Proficiency with EPIC charting system
- Demonstrated competency in phlebotomy and IV placement
- Ability to scrub and operate specialized monitoring systems for ablation procedures
Qualifications
- Experience with Micropace monitoring system for ablations (preferred)
- Previous charge nurse experience (preferred)
- Familiarity with Vascular Closure Systems such as Perclose or StarClose (preferred)
Schedule
- Day shifts, 10 hours per shift
- Minimum of 40 hours per week
- Start date: 09/14/2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
