Job Summary
The Emergency Room Registered Nurse in Sitka, Alaska will coordinate and provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a dynamic emergency environment. Responsibilities include assessing patient conditions, implementing care plans, and collaborating with the healthcare team.
Job Details
- Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications
- Valid, current, full, and unrestricted RN license in the State of Alaska
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications upon hire
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification must be obtained within 6 months of the start date
- Minimum of 0 years of clinical nursing experience
- Ability to work independently and perform advanced clinical procedures
- Knowledge of emergency nursing standards and infection control measures
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in emergency nursing or trauma care
Additional Information
- Performing nursing assessments, developing and executing patient care plans, providing education and emotional support, and participating in ongoing professional development
- Certification in TNCC/ATCN (Trauma Nursing Core Course/Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses) and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) encouraged within the first 6 months of employment
- Excellent communication skills, ability to react calmly in emergencies, and capacity to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
