Job Details

  • Location: Garden City, Kansas. The assignment involves floating within Zone 4, covering multiple ERs around Garden City, including facilities in Ulysses and Dodge City, within a 60-mile radius.

  • Shift: Nights, 11.5 hours per shift, with a minimum of 34.5 hours per week.

Certifications

  • ACLS (American Heart Association)
  • BLS (American Heart Association)
  • ENPC or PALS
  • NHIS or NIHSS
  • TNCC

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of ER experience.

Unit Notes

  • The position involves patient care for conditions such as abdominal pain, diabetes, NSTEMI, pneumonia, trauma, stroke, and hypertension.
  • The ER operates with nurse-to-patient ratios of approximately 1:4-5 based on acuity.
  • Charge nurses, nurses, techs, and RTs support the unit, with RT services available 24/7.
  • Telemetry monitors must be read by RNs.

Operational Details

  • No designated home facility; role includes floating within Zone 4, with orientation spanning 2-3 days.
  • The facility supports a trauma level environment with various trauma bays, transport, and point-of-care testing.
  • The schedule may be self or leadership-scheduled based on operational needs, with every other weekend and holiday requirements.

Pay Package

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 48 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
