About the role

Emergency Room Nurse in Augusta, Georgia. This position involves providing high-quality emergency care in a fast-paced ER environment. The selected candidate will be responsible for performing common ED procedures, assisting with trauma and acute patient care, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Schedule

• Night shifts, 12 hours per shift
• Minimum of 48 hours per week
• Work every other weekend
• Opportunity to float to the main emergency department as needed

Responsibilities

• Perform common ED procedures (IV insertion, Foley catheter placement, NG tube insertion)
• Assist with various emergency department interventions
• Provide trauma and acute patient care
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in emergency nursing
• Certifications: TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a Level II trauma center
• Familiarity with primary stroke care
• Proficiency in using cardiac monitors and point-of-care labs
• Positive, team-oriented attitude and flexibility
