Travel Nurse RN - ED - Emergency Department - $3,040 per week

About the role

Travel nurse RN position in the Emergency Department at a Level I Trauma Center in Omaha, Nebraska. Start date: October 26, 2026; duration: 13 weeks; 48 hours per week; 12‑hour day shifts; employment type: travel. The role involves providing high‑acuity emergency care for trauma, sepsis, chest pain, shortness of breath, and stroke patients, with support from physicians and mid‑level providers.

Responsibilities

• Manage trauma, sepsis, chest pain, and stroke patients
• Interpret EKG strips
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
• Ensure compliance with safety and clinical protocols
• Complete a one‑week orientation (two shifts at designated facilities and one shift at the primary hospital)
• Float to the Observation unit and the Freestanding Emergency Room at least once per week

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience
• Recent experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 trauma center
• Ability to pass a pass/fail skills exam during orientation with a ≥90% passing score
• Fingernails free of artificial nails (policy restriction)

Qualifications

• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC certifications required
• NRP certification preferred
