Travel Nurse RN - ED - Emergency Department - $2,961 per week

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Rapid City, South Dakota. Specialty: ED - Emergency Department. Discipline: RN. Start Date: 10/19/2026. Duration: 20 weeks. 48 hours per week. Shift: 12 hours, nights. Employment Type: Travel.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse team of caregivers to appropriately evaluate, triage and implement care using correct procedures and physician instructions.
• Document medical history, check for allergies, obtain patient vital signs, and monitor patients' emotional and physical well-being.
• Provide basic bedside care.
• Clean and bandage wounds.
• Provide IV therapy.
• Maintain supplies and medical equipment.
• Report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies.
• Perform minor medical operations, advise patients and family on illnesses or injuries, and plan long-term care needs.

Requirements

• 1-2 years recent acute care experience.
• ACLS, BLS, NIH, PALS, TNCC certifications.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean and stoop without difficulty.
• Able to lift 20 pounds; patient lifting may require up to 50 pounds.
• Possess good stress‑coping skills and ability to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
