Travel Nurse RN - ED - Emergency Department - $2,878 per week

About the role

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for the Emergency Department in Montgomery, Alabama. The assignment starts 11/16/2026, lasts 13 weeks, with 48 hours per week on 12‑hour night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse team of caregivers to evaluate, triage, and implement care using correct procedures and physician instructions.
• Provide basic bedside care.
• Clean and bandage wounds.
• Provide IV therapy.
• Maintain supplies and medical equipment.
• Report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies.
• Document medical history and check for patient allergies.
• Obtain patient vital signs.
• Monitor patients' emotional and physical well‑being.
• Advise patients and family on illnesses or injuries and plan long‑term care needs.
• Perform minor medical operations as directed.

Requirements

• 1‑2 years recent acute care experience.
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIH, CPI, TNCC certifications.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, stoop, and lift up to 20 lb (patient lifts up to 50 lb).
• Strong stress‑coping skills and ability to relate to patients of all ages and backgrounds.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Schedule
