Schedule
- 12-hour shifts: days, evenings, nights
- Shift details: 10:30 AM – 11:00 PM (block scheduling is never promised or guaranteed)
Requirements
- Must live 75+ miles away from the facility (local candidates under 75 miles will receive a local rate)
- Up-to-date resume showing 2+ years of ED experience with some pediatric (PEDS) experience
- Documented travel nursing experience (required)
- Skills checklist matching the specialty
- Driver’s license with address matching demographics
- Current AHA certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC
- NURSYS report
- Active New York RN license (RTO must be included at submission)
- EMR experience required: EPIC
Responsibilities
- Provide emergency nursing care in a 64-bed unit (2 triage, 40 acute, 6 super track, 2 trauma, 10 CDU, 6 psych)
- Charge capability: highly preferred
- Floating required
- Scrub color: navy blue
- Manage common patient diagnoses: stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, cardiac arrest, respiratory failure
- Operate specialty equipment: rapid infusor, Arctic Sun
- Care for patients across all age groups: newborn, pediatric, adult, geriatric
- Administer required drips and medications:
- Pressors: Levophed, Neo, Epi, Vasopressin, Dobutamine, Dopamine
- Vasodilators: Cleviprex, Cardene, NTG
- Anti-arrhythmics: Cardizem, Amiodarone, Lidocaine
- Sedation: Precedex, Propofol, Fentanyl
- TNK, Heparin, Insulin
