Med Ninjas is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Grand Forks, North Dakota.Job Description & RequirementsSpecialty: ED - Emergency DepartmentDiscipline: RNStart Date: ASAPDuration: 9 weeks36 hours per weekShift: 12 hours, nightsEmployment Type: TravelJob Summary (RN Emergency Department) – List Format - Provide direct nursing care in the Emergency Department according to organizational policies, procedures, and protocols. - Maintain necessary knowledge and skills to deliver age-appropriate care for all patients on assigned unit. - Coordinate patient care within the interdisciplinary team and facilitate effective communication. - Perform daily patient rounds to ensure quality customer service and address unmet requirements. - Assess patient conditions, develop individualized care plans, set goals, and prescribe nursing interventions. - Monitor, intervene, and reassess patient pain and symptoms, taking appropriate action as needed. - Identify and respond to early warning signs of patient deterioration, including initiating emergency measures when required. - Accurately report and document patient observations, reactions, and incident reports promptly. - Initiate discharge planning, patient/family education, and counseling early in patient care to promote safe transition. - Delegate nursing interventions appropriately within scope of practice and staff competency. - Attend to other duties as assigned to meet department and organizational needs. - Ensure all required certifications are current: RN license (ND or compact state), BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, ENPC. - Work 3x12 hour night shifts per week (5p-5a), every other weekend, and holidays as per unit schedule. - 13-week contract assignment.Med Ninjas Job ID #19158.
