Travel Nurse RN - ED - Emergency Department - $2,445 per week

Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) position in Hyannis, Massachusetts. This role involves delivering patient care in an emergency setting through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Responsibilities include administering medications, monitoring patient responses, guiding patient care, and maintaining high standards of professional nursing practice within the organization.
The nurse will provide assessment and documentation of patient conditions throughout hospital admission and discharge. The position requires participation in staff meetings, safety protocols, and community engagement, maintaining confidentiality, and delivering service excellence. Proficiency in computerized nursing informatics and the ability to serve as a resource and charge nurse as needed are required.
Responsibilities
- Deliver patient care in an emergency setting using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation).
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
- Guide patient care and maintain high standards of professional nursing practice.
- Provide assessment and documentation of patient conditions throughout hospital admission and discharge.
- Participate in staff meetings and safety protocols.
- Maintain confidentiality and deliver service excellence.
- Serve as a resource and charge nurse as needed.
- Demonstrate proficiency in computerized nursing informatics.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- At least 2 years of recent emergency room (ER) registered nurse experience, including at least 1 year of emergency travel experience.
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (must be maintained).
- Successful passage of Pharmacology and Basic Arrhythmia exams.
- Demonstrated skills in IV administration, IV starts, ventilator care, and telemetry monitoring.
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification.
- Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
- Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification.
- Completion of an approved de-escalation certification course.
Schedule
- Night shifts with 12-hour shifts.
- Minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Duration: 13 weeks.
- Start Date: 09/28/2026.
