Travel Nurse RN - ED - Emergency Department - $2,296 per week

About the role

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for the Emergency Department in Laconia, New Hampshire. The assignment starts on October 12, 2026, lasts 13 weeks, and involves 36 hours per week on a travel employment basis.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse team to evaluate, triage, and implement care using correct procedures and physician instructions.
• Provide basic bedside care.
• Clean and bandage wounds.
• Administer IV therapy.
• Maintain supplies and medical equipment.
• Report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies.
• Document medical history and check for patient allergies.
• Obtain and monitor patient vital signs.
• Monitor patients' emotional and physical well‑being.
• Stand and walk for extended periods; bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty.
• Lift up to 20 pounds routinely; patient moving/lifting may require up to 50 pounds.
• Cope with stress in a fast‑paced environment and relate to patients of all ages and backgrounds.

Requirements

• 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience.

Qualifications

• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• PALS certification
• NRP certification

Skills

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
• Capability to bend, lean, and stoop repeatedly.
• Strength to lift 20 pounds regularly and assist with patient lifts up to 50 pounds.
• Stress‑management skills for a fast‑paced ED.
• Effective communication with patients and families of diverse ages and backgrounds.
