Travel Nurse RN - ED - Emergency Department - $2,292 per week

AMN Healthcare Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN for an Emergency Department assignment in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

About the role

This travel nursing position is at a 580-bed Level 3 Trauma center and teaching hospital, serving as a regional trauma center with specialty units for cardiac and cancer care. Tuscaloosa offers a lively college-town atmosphere with attractions like the Riverwalk, the University of Alabama, and the Paul W. Bryant Museum. Birmingham is approximately a 1-hour drive away.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care in the Emergency Department.
• Utilize critical thinking skills in fast-paced, high-pressure situations.
• Work with Meditech electronic medical record (EMR) systems.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama or a compact state.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent emergency department experience (2 years preferred).
• Certifications: ACLS-AHA, BLS-AHA, PALS-AHA, and TNCC (copies required).
• SSN and date of birth required for compliance.
• One professional reference from the last 12 months.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Meditech EMR systems.

Schedule

• Start Date: 09/14/2026
• Duration: 7 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Hours per week: 36 or 48 (RN’s choice)

Pay

Pay Rate: $2,235.00 - $2,349.00 per week (based on 12-hour shifts and 48 hours per week).
