Travel Nurse RN - ED - Emergency Department - $2,254 per week
Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled ER RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Salem, Massachusetts. This role delivers rapid-response, high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department setting.
About the role
The Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) assesses patient conditions, implements urgent care plans, administers life-saving treatments, and collaborates with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure high-quality, efficient, patient-centered care in critical situations. The role requires strong clinical skills, critical thinking, communication under pressure, and a commitment to patient safety and professional ethics.
Responsibilities
- Rapidly assess and triage patients upon arrival, prioritizing care based on severity
- Explain emergency procedures and treatments to patients and families
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments per emergency nursing protocols
- Prepare equipment and aid physicians during emergency treatments and examinations
- Monitor patient comfort and safety, responding to immediate needs
- Observe and document patient conditions within scope of practice
- Take and monitor vital signs, addressing deviations to prevent complications
- Respond to life-saving situations based on emergency nursing standards
- Document nursing assessments, interventions, and outcomes in electronic medical records (EMR)
- Initiate patient education plans considering the acute nature of emergency care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, specialists, paramedics, social workers) to ensure comprehensive care
- Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards
- Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice
Requirements
- One year of recent experience as an ER RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- Current ACLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- Current PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC Certification
Preferred Qualifications
- TNCC, NIHSS, CPI, NRP, and SANE certifications
- Other certifications or licenses as required for the position

Pay
Pay package is based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
