About the role

An Emergency Room (ER) Nurse is needed in the healthcare environment located in Casper, Wyoming. This position involves assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing standards. The role requires delivering high-quality, patient-centered care across all age groups and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

This position assesses patients' physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs. It involves formulating personalized care plans, providing direct patient care, delegating and supervising activities of the healthcare team, and documenting all patient interactions and interventions. The role may include supervision of staff and workflow within the department and requires interaction with all levels of staff, physicians, patients, families, and external contacts. The nurse will also participate in quality improvement activities and professional development initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care in accordance with organizational policies and professional standards.
  • Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care across all age groups.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Assess patients' physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs.
  • Formulate and implement personalized care plans.
  • Provide direct patient care and delegate/supervise activities of the healthcare team.
  • Document all patient interactions and interventions.
  • Supervise staff and workflow within the department.
  • Interact with all levels of staff, physicians, patients, families, and external contacts.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities and professional development initiatives.
  • Demonstrate competencies appropriate to the specialty and maintain clinical performance standards.

Requirements

  • Current, valid RN license in the state of practice.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Additional certifications or continuing education may be needed based on the area of practice.
  • Experience in an acute care hospital setting within the past 12 months as a Registered Nurse in the specialty area is preferred.
  • No minimum years of experience required to apply.

Schedule

  • Nights shift, 12-hour shifts.
  • Minimum of 36 hours per week.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
