Alliance Services, Inc. is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a 13-week contract in Wausau, Wisconsin.
Job Details
- 13-week contract with guaranteed 36 hours per week
- 12-hour variable PM/night shifts with PM shifts starting at 11:00 AM or 2:00 PM
- Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation required
- On-call requirement of 12 hours in a 6-week period with a 30-minute response time and a 2-hour call back minimum
- May be required to float to other locations including Merrill, Antigo, Medford, and Stanley
- Work in a fast-paced Trauma Level II, 18-bed emergency department with stroke certification
- Care for patients across cardiac, neuro, pediatrics, geriatrics, and respiratory specialties
- Maintain a patient ratio of 3-4 patients per nurse
- Responsibilities include drawing labs, performing nebulizer treatments, and utilizing Pyxis medication dispensers
- Charting performed using EPIC electronic health records system
- X-ray staff and respiratory therapy available on-site in the emergency department
- Minimum 5 years of experience required with at least 1 year of travel experience - FIRM
- Trauma Level II experience required
- EPIC charting experience required
- Required certifications: WI RN License, BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS (ARC or AHA)
- Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Scrub color: Any color accepted

This facility is a Trauma Level II emergency department featuring an 18-bed unit with stroke certification and comprehensive specialty services including cardiac, neurological, pediatric, geriatric, and respiratory care. The department operates with in-house laboratory services, on-site radiology staff, and respiratory therapy support to provide efficient and well-rounded patient care. The environment is highly fast-paced and requires nurses who are resilient, independent, and able to manage change effectively.

Pay package
The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
