Travel Nurse RN - ED - Emergency Department - $2,223 per week

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for the Emergency Department in Devils Lake, North Dakota. The position starts on 12/07/2026, lasts 13 weeks, requires 36 hours per week on 12‑hour rotating shifts, and is a travel employment type. The ideal candidate should have 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse team of caregivers to evaluate, triage, and implement care using correct procedures and physician instructions.
• Provide care for patients in a fast‑paced, urgent, and emergency environment.
• Perform minor medical operations.
• Advise patients and families on illnesses or injuries.
• Plan long‑term care needs.
• Document medical history and check for patient allergies.
• Obtain and monitor patient vital signs.
• Monitor patients’ emotional and physical well‑being.
• Provide basic bedside care, clean and bandage wounds, and administer IV therapy.
• Maintain supplies and medical equipment.
• Report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies.
• Stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty.
• Lift up to 20 pounds routinely; moving or lifting patients may require up to 50 pounds.
• Cope effectively with stress and relate to patients of all ages and backgrounds.

Requirements

• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• PALS certification
• NIH certification

Qualifications

1‑2 years of recent acute care experience.
