About the role
HealthTrust Workforce Solutions HCA is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Danville, Virginia.
Responsibilities
- Provide emergency department nursing care in a 31-bed unit with 2 triage rooms (7 of the 31 beds are utilized for Behavioral Health or Acute patients).
- Maintain patient ratios of 1:4, with exceptions for discharges awaiting transportation, admit holds, high-volume days, or patients requiring immediate care.
- Utilize MedHost as primary EHR for the ED, and Meditech (EMAR only) for admit holds and behavioral health patients who remain in the department for extended periods.
- Float as needed and work rotating weekends/as needed.
Requirements
- Specialty: ED - Emergency Department

- Duration: 13 weeks
- Hours: 36 hours per week, 12-hour day shifts
- Years of Experience: 5+ years in Emergency Department
- Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, Handle with Care (available on-site), NIH, PALS or ENPC
