Travel Nurse RN - ED - Emergency Department - $2,200 per week
Job Summary
The Emergency Room Nurse position is available in Meridian, Idaho. This role involves providing high-quality care in a fast-paced emergency department with a focus on trauma, stroke, and STEMI patients. The ER handles a mixture of pediatric and adult cases, often involving high-acuity level I patients requiring stabilization and transfer.
Job Details
- Shift Schedule: Rotating shifts, with shift start times including 0730, 1000, and 1130 hours; shifts range from 12 hours with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- Valid license to practice as an RN
- Certifications including BLS, ACLS, ENPC, PALS, and TNCC
- No minimum years of experience specified
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a larger urban hospital setting
- Prior trauma experience preferred
Patient Demographics
Care for both pediatric and adult patients, with a focus on high-acuity cases such as stroke, STEMI, trauma, and abdominal pain. Pediatrics involve stabilization and transfer to appropriate facilities.
Unit Specifics
- 45 beds including trauma bays, hallway beds, resuscitation area, and psych rooms
- Rapid Assessment Vertical Space and a separate triage area
- In-house security 24/7
- At least one physician and up to six advanced practitioner providers per shift
Support Services
- RT manages all respiratory equipment with 24/7 coverage
- RNs interpret monitor readings
- Diagnostics services such as X-ray and CT are available within the ER or nearby radiology department
- Laboratory work is drawn by RNs, CNAs, or phlebotomists
