Travel Nurse RN - ED - Emergency Department - $2,170 per week

Job Summary

The Emergency Room (ER) Nurse position in Franklin, Indiana requires a travel nurse with 2 years of recent ER experience. The role involves providing direct patient care in a busy ER department with a focus on acute emergency situations.

Job Details

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.

Required Qualifications

• Valid license to practice as a registered nurse.
• Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Certified in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
• Certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
• Certified in National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS).
• Certified in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
• Minimum of 2 years of recent ER experience.
• Proficient in IV insertion, EKG rhythm interpretation, and managing common emergency diagnoses such as abdominal pain, altered mental status, chest pain, stroke, COVID-19, SOB, and moderate sedation.

Preferred Qualifications

• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification.
• ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) certification.

Additional Information

• The ER department comprises 26 beds with three trauma bays and a treatment area.
• The department handles approximately 60 patients daily, with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1 to 4.
• The unit operates with in-house security 24/7, and staff must be flexible to float when needed, primarily to patient sitters or medics.
• The department uses Cerner electronic medical records and various respiratory therapies and telemonitoring.
• Orientation consists of 1-2 shifts with a preceptor.

Pay Package

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
