Travel nursing assignment in Spokane, Washington for an Emergency Department Registered Nurse. 13-week contract starting 08/10/2026.
About the role
Provide critical care emergency services in a fast-paced 16-bed emergency department (with additional treatment spaces) located approximately 7 miles north of the primary hospital. Manage diverse patient needs including trauma stabilization, behavioral health, and respiratory emergencies for all ages. May float to other ER areas such as Deaconess ED. No on-call responsibilities. Scrub color is flexible; no graphics permitted.
Schedule
- 12-hour night shifts
- 36 hours per week minimum
- Assignment duration: 13 weeks
Responsibilities
- Trauma stabilization and management
- Behavioral health and respiratory emergency care for all age groups
- CPR/code response
- Bedside procedures (IV insertions, Foley catheters, NG tubes, etc.)
- Medication administration including cardiac drips and pressors
- Triage and patient assessment
- Ultrasound-guided IV placement (preferred)
Requirements
- Active RN license
- ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications
- Minimum 2 years trauma experience (5+ years preferred for first-time travelers)
- Proficiency in EPIC electronic medical record (preferred)
Preferred Qualifications
- NRP certification
- Additional trauma and pediatric experience
