Travel Nurse RN - ED - Emergency Department - $2,126 per week

About the role

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for the Emergency Department in Northglenn, Colorado. The assignment is 13 weeks, 36 hours per week on 12‑hour night shifts. The ideal candidate will have 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience and work with a diverse team to evaluate, triage, and implement care in a fast‑paced ER environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care.
• Clean and bandage wounds.
• Provide IV therapy.
• Maintain supplies and medical equipment.
• Report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies.
• Document medical history and check for allergies.
• Obtain patient vital signs.
• Monitor patients' emotional and physical well‑being.
• Advise patients and family on illnesses or injuries.
• Plan long‑term care needs.

Requirements

• Current RN license.
• 1‑2 years recent acute care experience.
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC certifications (additional certifications may be required before assignment).
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, stoop, and lift up to 20 pounds (patient lifts may require up to 50 pounds).
• Good stress‑coping skills and ability to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.
