Travel Nurse RN - ED - Emergency Department - $2,097 per week

Job Description

Beds: 34 with 12 hallway beds
Patient Types: Neonate to geriatric, Level III trauma center, pediatrics (medical and trauma), stroke (administer TPA), cardiac (cath lab), behavioral health and substance use disorder
Busiest ED in the state
Transfer out (stabilize and ship): neurosurgery, multi-system trauma, high acuity peds patients
Patient Ratios: 1:3-5 based on acuity; fast track (13 beds, “green zone”)

Requirements

• Registered Nurse, ER
• SSN Required
• DOB Required
• References: 1 Reference in the last 12 months previous travel experience
• Trauma experience skills checklist within 12 mos
• ER reference within last 12 mos
• Copies of all certs required
• ENPC is allowed instead of PALS - we will accept proof of class registration

Qualifications

• Years of Experience: at least 3-years of ED experience in large volume ED with high acuity patients
• Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS or ENPC and TNCC
• Skills required: Strong emergency nursing skills to include critical care and pediatric patients
• Experience with chest tubes, arterial lines, blood administration, Bipap/Ventilators
• Splinting, Barcode Scanning, Medication Administration
• Triage experience-must pass hospital’s Triage Test before allowed to triage
• Able to set up chest tubes, art lines. Assist with Trauma and Code cases.
• ER skills, Critical patients. Pediatric emergency medicine experience is highly preferred.
