About the Role
Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse (RN) position at Deaconess Midtown in Evansville, Indiana. This role involves providing emergency care in a Level II Trauma facility, primarily working 3 p.m. to 3 a.m. shifts on a rotating schedule. The position requires a skilled nurse capable of managing high-pressure situations and working independently within a busy emergency department.
Responsibilities
- Provide emergency nursing care in a Level II Trauma facility.
- Work 8- and 12-hour shifts, primarily 3 p.m. to 3 a.m., with guaranteed hours of 36 per week (up to 40).
- Complete a 12-lead electrocardiogram (EKG) and dysrhythmia exam.
- Use Epic charting system (experience within the past year required).
- Complete a checkoff class as required by the facility.
Requirements
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- AHA Pediatric Life Support (PALS) certification.
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
- Indiana or Compact State RN License.
- Minimum of 3+ years of ER experience.
- Associate Degree or Certificate in Nursing.
- Available for interview Monday through Friday; shifts include every other weekend and holiday rotation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
- Pediatric experience.
