Requirements
- 1-2 years recent acute care experience
- ACLS
- BLS
- TNCC
- NIC
- PALS
- Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment
Responsibilities
- Work with a diverse team of caregivers to appropriately evaluate, triage and implement care using correct procedures and physician instructions
- Care for patients in a fast-paced, urgent and emergency environment
- Perform minor medical operations, advise patients and family on illnesses or injuries, and plan long-term care needs
- Document medical history, check for any allergies patients might have, obtain patient vital signs, and monitor patients' emotional and physical well-being
- Provide basic bedside care, clean and bandage wounds, provide IV therapy, maintain supplies and medical equipment, report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies
- Prepare for and perform tasks such as moving or lifting patients, including lifting up to 50 pounds
- Be prepared to cope with stress and relate to people of all ages and backgrounds
Qualifications
- 3 Years Recent Acute Care Experience
