Travel Nurse RN - ED - Emergency Department - $2,053 per week

About the role

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for the Emergency Department in Geneva, New York. The assignment is 18 weeks, 36 hours per week on 12‑hour rotating shifts. The ideal candidate will have 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience and be ready to work in a fast‑paced ER environment.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse team to evaluate, triage and implement care per physician instructions.
• Perform minor medical operations and advise patients/family on illnesses or injuries.
• Plan long‑term care needs.
• Document medical history and check for allergies.
• Obtain patient vital signs.
• Monitor patients’ emotional and physical well‑being.
• Provide basic bedside care, clean and bandage wounds, administer IV therapy.
• Maintain supplies and medical equipment.
• Report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies.

Requirements

• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH certifications.
• Minimum 1‑2 years recent acute care experience (ER preferred).
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods, bend, lean, stoop, and lift up to 20 lbs (patient lifts up to 50 lbs).
• Strong stress‑coping skills and ability to relate to patients of all ages and backgrounds.
