About the role
The position is for a travel nurse RN in the Emergency Department (ED) in Lafayette, Louisiana.
Responsibilities
- Provide emergency care to patients as needed.
- Perform diagnostic tests and treatments as directed by a physician.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report changes to medical staff.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure patient care continuity.
Requirements
- Must live 65+ miles from the facility.
- Must not have been employed by any Ochsner facility within the past year.
- Experience required: 2+ years as an RN.
- Certifications required: Current RN license, BLS from the American Heart Association, CPI Certification, ACLS, PALS.
Qualifications
- Must be able to work 36 hours per week.
- Must be available for 12-hour shifts, nights.
Skills
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of emergency medical procedures.
