Travel Nurse RN - ED - Emergency Department - $2,030 per week

Job Summary

Emergency Room Nurse in Falls Church, VA. This role involves providing high-quality emergency nursing care within a busy Level I trauma center. The nurse will manage a variety of acute cases, including stroke, STEMI, and trauma patients, and will be responsible for approximately 350 patient encounters daily. The position requires strong emergency department experience and certification in basic life support, advanced cardiovascular life support, and trauma nursing courses.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care within a busy Level I trauma center
• Manage a variety of acute cases, including stroke, STEMI, and trauma patients
• Handle approximately 350 patient encounters daily
• Cover 1-2 on-call shifts per schedule
• Work every other weekend
• Float to offsite emergency departments in Fairfax City and Reston/Herndon area as required

Requirements

• At least 2 years of ER experience
• Strong ED background at Level I or II trauma centers
• EPIC electronic health record experience
• Ability to float to offsite ERs in Fairfax City and Reston/Herndon area
• Willingness to cover 1-2 on-call shifts per schedule
• Ability to work every other weekend

Qualifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
• NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certification
• Previous travel experience highly preferred

Schedule

• Evening shifts, 12 hours per day
• Minimum of 36 hours per week
• Duration: 8 weeks
• Start Date: 08/31/2026
