Travel Nurse RN - ED - Emergency Department - $2,029 per week
About the Role
Travel nursing assignment in Sabetha, Kansas for an RN in the Emergency Department (ED). This is a critical-care-access facility where the nurse will be required to work across all patient units, including Med Surg and ER.
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Shift: 12-hour nights (5:00 PM – 5:00 AM)
- Employment Type: Travel
- Weekend rotation: Every 3rd weekend required
This is a backfill position with an ASAP start; candidates who can clear quickly and move the start date up are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Divide inpatient (IP) load among staff; may take 1–8 patients depending on unit needs and experience
- Share responsibility for ER patients among the team
- Work collaboratively with a team of 2–3 nurses (may include LPNs) and 1 CNA per shift
- Utilize on-call crisis nurse support as needed
- Use Cerner EMR system
Average IP census is 3–5 patients, with a maximum of 7–8. Staffing typically includes 3 nurses and 1 CNA, though some shifts may have 2 nurses and 1 aide.
Requirements
- Active RN license
- Experience in both ER and Med Surg (must be listed on work history at time of submission)
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications (all must be through AHA)
- NRP (AHA) highly preferred
- Certifications must be held at time of submission or a class must be scheduled prior to submission (receipt required)
- Any color scrubs permitted
- Flu declination allowed, but must wear a mask during flu season
