Travel Nurse RN - ED - Emergency Department - $1,919 per week

About the role

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for the Emergency Department in Zanesville, Ohio. The assignment is 13 weeks, 36 hours per week on 12‑hour night shifts. The ER Travel Nurse will work with a diverse team to evaluate, triage, and implement care following physician instructions in a fast‑paced, urgent environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care.
• Clean and bandage wounds.
• Provide IV therapy.
• Maintain supplies and medical equipment.
• Report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies.
• Document medical history and check for allergies.
• Obtain patient vital signs.
• Monitor patients' emotional and physical well‑being.
• Advise patients and family on illnesses or injuries.
• Plan long‑term care needs.
• Perform minor medical operations as needed.

Requirements

• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience (ER preferred).
• Ability to lift 20 pounds routinely and up to 50 pounds when moving patients.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lean, and stoop for extended periods.
• Good stress‑coping skills and ability to relate to patients of all ages and backgrounds.
