Travel Nurse RN - ED - Emergency Department - $1,828 per week

About the role

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Lebanon, Kentucky.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse team of caregivers to appropriately evaluate, triage and implement care using correct procedures and physician instructions.
• Care for patients in a fast-paced, urgent and emergency environment.
• Perform minor medical operations, advise patients and family on illnesses or injuries, and plan long-term care needs.
• Document medical history, check for any allergies patients might have, obtain patient vital signs, and monitor patients' emotional and physical well-being.
• Provide basic bedside care.
• Clean and bandage wounds.
• Provide IV therapy.
• Maintain supplies and medical equipment.
• Report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies.

Requirements

• ACLS, BLS, PALS certification.
• 1.5 years of recent acute care experience.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Good stress management and ability to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license in good standing.
• Current CPR certification (BLS).
• Current ACLS certification.
• Current PALS certification.

Pay

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

Shifts are 12 hours, nights.
