Travel Nurse RN - ED - Emergency Department - $1,761 per week

About the role

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for the Emergency Department in Hot Springs, Arkansas. The assignment is 13 weeks, 36 hours per week on 12‑hour evening shifts. The ideal candidate will have 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience and be ready to work in a fast‑paced ER environment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, triage and implement care following physician instructions.
• Provide basic bedside care, clean and bandage wounds, administer IV therapy.
• Maintain supplies and medical equipment.
• Document medical history, check for allergies, obtain vital signs.
• Monitor patients’ emotional and physical well‑being.
• Report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies.
• Advise patients and families on illnesses or injuries and assist with long‑term care planning.
• Perform minor medical operations as needed.

Requirements

• Current RN license.
• 1‑2 years recent acute care experience (preferably in ED).
• ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications (additional certifications may be required before assignment).
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods, bend, lean, stoop, lift 20 lbs routinely and up to 50 lbs when moving patients.
• Good stress‑coping skills and ability to relate to diverse patient populations.

Schedule

12‑hour evening shifts, 36 hours per week.
