Travel Nurse RN - ED - Emergency Department - $1,740 per week

About the role

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for the Emergency Department (ED) in Indianapolis, Indiana. The assignment is for 13 weeks, 36 hours per week on 12‑hour night shifts. The ideal candidate should have 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, triage, and implement care using correct procedures and physician instructions.
• Perform minor medical operations.
• Advise patients and family on illnesses or injuries.
• Plan long‑term care needs.
• Document medical history.
• Check for patient allergies.
• Obtain and monitor vital signs.
• Monitor patients’ emotional and physical well‑being.
• Provide basic bedside care.
• Clean and bandage wounds.
• Provide IV therapy.
• Maintain supplies and medical equipment.
• Report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies.
• Stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty.
• Lift up to 20 pounds routinely; moving or lifting patients may require up to 50 pounds.
• Cope with stress in a fast‑paced environment.
• Relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.

Requirements

• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, CPI, NIH certifications.
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience (1‑2 years preferred).
• Additional certifications may be required before starting the assignment.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
