Travel Nurse RN - ED - Emergency Department - $1,592 per week

About the role

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for the Emergency Department in Dover, Ohio. This is a 13‑week travel assignment requiring 36 hours per week on 12‑hour night shifts. The ideal candidate will have 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience and hold current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse team to evaluate, triage, and implement care per physician instructions.
• Provide basic bedside care, clean and bandage wounds, administer IV therapy.
• Maintain supplies and medical equipment.
• Document medical history, check for allergies, obtain vital signs, monitor emotional and physical well‑being.
• Report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies.
• Advise patients and families on illnesses or injuries and plan long‑term care needs.
• Perform minor medical operations as needed.
• Stand, walk, bend, lean, and stoop for extended periods; lift up to 20 pounds routinely and up to 50 pounds when moving patients.
• Cope with stress in a fast‑paced environment and relate to patients of all ages and backgrounds.

Requirements

• 1‑2 years recent acute care experience.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.
• Ability to lift 20 pounds (up to 50 pounds for patient moves).
• Willingness to work 12‑hour night shifts, 36 hours per week.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
