Travel Nurse RN - ED - Emergency Department - $1,556 per week

About the role

We’re looking for Emergency Room RNs for an immediate travel nurse opening in Atlanta, GA. The right RN should have 1‑2 years recent acute care experience. As an ER Travel Nurse, you will work with a diverse team of caregivers to evaluate, triage, and implement care using correct procedures and physician instructions. You will care for patients in a fast‑paced, urgent and emergency environment, perform minor medical operations, advise patients and families on illnesses or injuries, and plan long‑term care needs. Additional duties include documenting medical history, checking for allergies, obtaining vital signs, and monitoring patients’ emotional and physical well‑being.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care.
• Clean and bandage wounds.
• Provide IV therapy.
• Maintain supplies and medical equipment.
• Report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies.
• Evaluate, triage, and implement care according to physician instructions.
• Perform minor medical operations.
• Advise patients and families on illnesses or injuries and plan long‑term care needs.
• Document medical history and check for patient allergies.
• Obtain and record patient vital signs.
• Monitor patients’ emotional and physical well‑being.

Requirements

• 1‑2 years recent acute care experience.
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIH certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience (additional certifications may be required before assignment).
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty.
• Ability to lift 20 lb easily; occasional lifting of up to 50 lb may be required.
• Strong stress‑coping skills and ability to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.
