About the Role
Provide specialized dialysis care as a Chronic Care Registered Nurse (RN).
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient assessments and develop and modify treatment plans.
- Administer medications and document care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe delivery of hemodialysis therapy.
- Educate patients and families on care procedures.
- Respond to emergencies and oversee laboratory procedures.
- Participate in staff training and may oversee healthcare staff.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of recent nephrology nursing experience.
- At least 3 months of experience in chronic or acute hemodialysis.
- Active nursing license and CPR/BLS certification.
- Must pass the Ishihara color blindness test.
Skills
- Strong clinical judgment and teamwork abilities.
- Excellent communication skills.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Involves heavy lifting, moving patients and equipment, and prolonged standing.
- Exposure to infectious materials.
- Direct patient interaction, computer documentation, and collaboration with healthcare staff.
Schedule
- Flexibility to float to nearby sites within 50 miles.
- 8-hour shifts with a minimum guarantee of 36 hours weekly.
